Your rights in Idaho

Hiring a public adjuster in Idaho.

Idaho regulates public adjusters and gives policyholders specific protections. Here is what that means when you hire us.

How a claim works, step by step
  • Licensed by the state. Public adjusters in Idaho are licensed by the Idaho Department of Insurance. Ours is license 3002285915.
  • Bonded. We are bonded as Idaho requires.
  • A written contract first. Your fee and your cancellation rights are set out in writing before we begin.
  • Three business days to cancel. After you sign, you can cancel by written notice within three business days.
  • The 72-hour rule. Idaho bars a percentage fee if the insurer commits to pay policy limits within 72 hours.
  • Your contractor, your choice. You decide who makes the repairs.

Idaho questions

What Idaho owners ask us.

All questions and answers

Do I need a public adjuster for my Idaho claim?

Not always. A small, clear loss often settles fine without help. A large loss, a denial or an estimate that leaves out damage is where a public adjuster tends to matter most. The first review is free, and we will tell you honestly whether you need us.

What does a public adjuster cost in Idaho?

Claim services start at $750. On replacement cost policies the fee is up to 15% of the amount recovered over the insurer's initial estimate, on a sliding scale that never goes below 5%. Idaho bars a percentage fee if the insurer commits to pay policy limits within 72 hours. Your exact fee is in your written contract.

Yes. In Idaho you have three business days after signing to cancel by written notice. Your contract spells out your cancellation rights.

Do you only work near Idaho Falls?

No. We are based in Ammon, next to Idaho Falls, and we are licensed to represent policyholders anywhere in Idaho.

My claim was already denied. Is it too late?

Often not. Send us the denial letter, the carrier's estimate and your policy for a free review. Policy deadlines still apply, so do not wait.
